tenlittlebullets: (Oh snap!)
Okay, I lied. I succumbed and got back online. HOWEVER. I have discovered that Internet addiction was so totally not my problem in the matter. Okay, yes, it was getting kind of scary, I took a break, wonderful. But in lieu of mindlessly and pointlessly refreshing my friends page over and over in order to procrastinate on a paper, last night, with no internet in sight, I, mindlessly and pointlessly... stared at the walls. For three hours.

As I said, I doubt the internet is the problem here, but merely a way to let out my inner procrastination demons. All of whom eventually relent, which is why, at four in the morning, I booted up my computer and rambled on for the requisite four pages about just how rotten the state of Denmark was. Unfortunately, I had to reconnect to get the course syllabus for German to figure out just exactly what I had to do as homework, and forgot either to yank the cable or to shut the computer down. Leading me straight into temptation's lap when I got back from class, and therefore into this.

Actually, I lie. I've been using the computer quite innocently for synth work and Photoshop all afternoon, and only broke down ten minutes ago. But still.

In case anyone's interested, a few things I scribbled down longhand about what happened between Thursday and today )

So yes, I am, was, and always will be an Internet-holic. I have the niggling feeling I could've stayed on the wagon a bit longer, but once I discovered it wasn't really the root of my procrastination and insomnia, all the urge to resist left me. =P

Four days, bitches.
