Happy (belated) Thanksgiving. :D
Reading over my f-list from the four days or so I was away, I now feel like the only person on earth with a well-adjusted extended family. Seriously. We did a lot of cooking, sitting around reading, singing showtunes around the piano, spoiling the dog rotten, playing billiards and assorted board games, swing dancing, good wine, bad puns, and a little more cooking on the side. (That side of the family is a bit eccentric, though generally well-adjusted, so there were also libertarian rants, Thai food, multiple requests to burn Les Mis in French, and the news that one of my cousins has given up being a professional gambler and settled down as an English major.)
I also temporarily snitched the widescreen editions of the LotR movies to watch on their badass bigscreen TV, but I actually only watched TTT. And... um... maybe this is just my book snob instincts, but I have the feeling Tolkien is facepalming in his grave. I mean, wtf plot?
Anyway. Hi, interwebs, I'm back. :D And thankful for my crazy, fun family.

TTT is the one that deviates the most from the books, if I recall properly.
