Yes, yes, yes to the second paragraph. I would have been so much more okay with Doctor/Rose if it had been treated as a bit fucked-up and unhealthy, because it was. She was his first post-Time-War companion and he got overattached, and on her end she seemed to think the rules of Earth romance somehow applied, and it could have been gloriously queer and tragic except Rusty was somehow on board with Rose's view. All the power-imbalance and cross-species longevity and exclusivity problems got either swept under the rug or used as convenient obstacles to make them star-crossed lovers, and the fact that Ten is a deeply damaged person didn't get used in the one place where it could've made things more palatable and sense-making.

Freema is just... unf. Drop-dead gorgeous.
