Had my first violin lesson of the semester today, and my first voice lesson yesterday. Both were very fun, and I've gotten less out-of-practice than I thought I'd be after an entire summer without singing or playing. I'm starting "Lascia ch'io pianga" and "Voi che sapete" in voice lessons, and let me just take this opportunity to say that "Voi che sapete" is amazing amounts of fun to sing. (As is "Se tu m'ami," which I'll hopefully be starting next week.) And violin was also good; mostly review, but I was expecting to be further behind than I actually was, and I finally discovered that if I keep my thumb in the same place as my index finger it's loads easier to stay on pitch.

Going to dye my hair tonight. Not just slapping some dye on it and rinsing it after an hour, but the whole shebang with bleach and keeping the dye on overnight and such. So unless I screw up royally, this time tomorrow my hair will be shockingly purple.

Also, we're finally done with Marx in seminar. Good fucking riddance.
