So much opera. I have sooooo much goddamn opera since discovering that blog and I am loving it so hard. Ileana Cotrubas owns my soul at the moment, how does she make it sound so eeeeeaaaasy. ♥

Anyway, today I re-dye my hair because it's gone from bright red to a depressing orangey color. No doubt I will emerge looking like I just got done bathing in the blood of virgins, which is half the fun.

Rossini's Ermione! So many show-off-y tenor duets. Can't bloody well find a synopsis, but I suspect that homoerotic subtext abounds.

Am not sure I'd recommend the recording of I Capuleti e i Montecchi that's on that blog, mostly because Anna Netrebko isn't my cup of tea as Giulietta. It's a pity, because I think that was the search that originally brought me there.

I'll probably have to talk to my mom and grandparents about it, actually, because last I heard they had vague plans to go back to the cottage sometime in August. I'm not sure whether or not there would be a scheduling conflict.

I don't know how big my opera folder was before I found that site but now it's at least 10 gigs. I have committed a staggering amount of piracy in the past three days.
