Really smart people doing really silly things!

Okay, Google 8-Bit was an awesome April Fools prank, but currently I am even more amused by their Really Advanced Search page. Fields include:

- "rhyming slang for:"
- "this exact word or phrase, the sum of whose unicode code points is a mersenne prime:"
- "content that is true: [in the objective sense | in the subjective sense | in the constructivist sense | in the empirical sense | in the tautological sense]"
- "calque or loanword origin: [Arabic | Bengali | Bork bork bork! | Chinese | English | French | Hindi | Portugese | Russian | Spanish]"
- "looping midi music in the genre of: [ polka | muzak | klezmer | dubstep]"

ETA: Speaking of Google, I think Gmail's tailored ads are kind of creepy, but the LJ comment notifications that land in my inbox probably have the poor thing very confused--it's been offering me e-learning courses to "get your doctorate or master's degree!" for ages, but only today did it go so far as to point me to a temp agency in Chiswick. BAHAHA.
