FYI, I'm going to be incommunicado until Monday or Tuesday because the router for the home internet is completely fubared. I don't know what's wrong with it, only that Verizon's going to have us a new one by the 7th. Ordinarily I'd just sneak onto the internet at work, but I'm going to be away over the Independence Day weekend in a part of Pennsylvania where "technologically advanced" means "electricity, indoor plumbing, and maybe a hookup to the municipal water supply if you're lucky." Internet is not very likely--I think the phone line is still shared with the neighbors, who'd be justifiably pissed if they got dialup static every time they tried to call someone.
But I gripe because I love. It's a cottage by a lake in the mountains that the family's been going to every summer since before I was born, and there will be swimming and sailing and canoeing and nutty cousins and cutthroat games of double solitaire. And fireworks. PA lets out-of-state people buy all sorts of huge fireworks without a license, and my side of the family has always been traditionally responsible for putting on ridiculous firework shows from the dock.
So, yeah. I would've given more notice about going away for the holiday weekend, except... unexpected internet splody. Le sigh.
Oh yes, and I dyed my hair red. Well, it's been Weasley red for a while, but now it's Manic Panic red. It no longer matches my eyebrows, but I suspect that my eyebrows might get singed off on Friday anyway.
