God damn it. Just checked out a book of Beethoven sonatas, and lemme tell you it's a damn good thing it has a long loan period. Silly little me thought that after three years of no lessons and very little serious playing I could just sit down and play the Pathetique sonata.

Me: *whistling, opens book*
Sixty-fourth notes: YAAARRR!
Me: *SQUEAK*

And that was when I remembered how much my sight reading sucks.

Beethoven. What a novel way to procrastinate on all those readings I have stacked up.

And by the way, I finally got around to listening to the random Voltaire mp3s I had lying 'round. And now I am strangely amused. No, make that extremely amused. Especially by this song.

*giggle* too true.. I'm here from [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes, and know that feeling all too well.

The Moonlight Sonata is approachable if you can stretchy your hands far enough, though I've not got past the first bit yet :)

Ah yes, my old friend Moonlight Sonata. I can get through it, but not without mangling all the accidentals horribly about halfway through...
