Can't honestly tell you as I'm not the director, but I do think it's appropriate. You sang very beautifully, and the piece shows your range well. ::nods::

It's not worth anything now, but the piece sounds absolutely lovely and I think it's perfect for auditioning, actually. It sounds very tricky to sing, so that shows off how good you are.
