Is the world just fucking conspiring against me? Does someone above hate me? Huh?
Yep, registration time again. And, strangely enough, there are almost no courses I want to register for that are on the list. Well, I take it back. "Politics and Culture of Nazi Germany" would be damn fun, but it's 300-level and requires junior standing, two prerequisites AND teacher permission. I didn't even bother to ask about the politics course on the first amendment. And there was a really cool astrophysics course, but it had Physics 101 as a corequisite and guess what course they're not offering next semester?
Fuck you, registration.
So now I'm stuck in American Imperialism and Drawing from Imagination. The FUCK, man.
Of course, this is Simon's Rock. The majority of the students here have wet dreams over some strange combination of anthropology, psychology, gender studies, and sociology. All of which make me want to barf.
No classics courses. None. Unless you count the 300-level Greek philosophy class that also happened to coincide with my German class.
I'm seriously considering running up to the politics prof, dropping to my knees, and crying out "please, please, let a lowly freshman into your Nazi politics course! I was the pride of my high school government class! I'm conversational in German! I can rattle off names and dates like gunfire! I'm reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich for fun, damn it, now let me into your class!"
On second thought, maybe I should just go back to books, because there's no human way I could get into that class. I suppose if I asked really nicely I could sit in on it, which would be just as good without the term papers...
