Holy. Fucking. SHIT.
Yes, I am spamming my journal with many posts a day. I do not care.
Apparently my voice teacher likes me more than I thought, because I got a part in 'Company.'
I. Got a part. In 'Company.' An ickle freshman with a squeaky mezzo-soprano voice got into the six-member 31337-ass backup group. Has the world turned upside down?
As further proof that she has an inflated opinion of my vocal talent, she's letting me get away with singing for my recital piece 'Point of No Return,' which sounds ok in my voice but is so not an arietta or Italian art song. Which everyone else apparently is doing.
It was kinda funny... she was complaining about being forced to cast seniors in the lead roles, because they're all complete prima donnas and the freshmen are the most reliable ones. Unfortunately rehearsals for the musical coincide perfectly with my German class, so I either have to pick one and stick with it or try to juggle between them, getting special permisson from both teachers to miss lots of class. Wonderful. I need a time-turner.
...
Oh, and there are these AIDS awareness day posters all around campus that amuse me endlessly. Their big-font, bolded headline? "16 Days to Stop the Spread of HIV/AIDS Through Violence Against Women."
Ambiguous much?

In the campus forum, there are people who are like, "So it only matters if the WOMEN get HIV. Where's the diversity?!" So funny.
