(no subject)

So, after wrestling endlessly with the iPod--it had a disturbing tendency to freeze iTunes or whatever related software was running whenever I plugged it in--by some fluke I got it to start transferring. Yay. This could take a while--I have about 1200 songs, 3.8 days of music, and it's currently about 1/5 done. Faster than I expected, but it could still take a while.

At the risk of beginning to anthropomorphize my electronics, I have named my iPod Christine. Shut up. It asked me for a name and I obliged.

What is it with people and naming their iPods? My friend named hers Fred.

It prompts you to name it. Oh, sure, the default in the little text field is something like "Apple iPod," but their intentions were obviously far more devious.
