Opening night tonight. Have possibly one of the smallest parts in the show, but any excuse to spoil my voice like a little child is fine with me. Therefore am compulsively popping disgusting honey-lemon cough drops and the like, overhydrating, and skipped class to get a full 8 hours of sleep for once. That actually turned into a full 10 hours of sleep, but whatever.
Going to KILL the costume department. Really girly clothes for hours on end is not fun, especially when they 'forget' to buy the most embarrassing items and make you go buy them yourself.
Dress rehearsal was a disaster beyond all imagination, not in that no one knew what they were doing, but that everyone knew what they were doing but really fucked-up shit kept happening anyway. Like everyone being constantly one beat off on "Have I Got a Girl for You," or Chloe forgetting half of "Ladies who Lunch" for no discernible reason. Superstition indicates a kickass opening night.
Cast party Sunday night. Apparently there will be vodka in large quantities. Debating whether or not I should get totally trashed.

Cast parties were always the best part...oh lord, the stuff that happened at the cast party. Let me put it this way: what happened at the cast party, stayed at the cast party no matter how good of gossip it would make on Monday morning. (Ie: guys streaking through the backyard and cemetary runs...etc.)

And actually I'm quite trashed now at the moment, although it's all on substances perfectly legal for me to consume at my age. Just not in the quantities the manufacturers intended.

I would advise against the vodka. Caffeine is more fun, legal, and doesn't have nasty aftereffects.
