So. Yesterday I went to the beach. w00t w00t, huh? It was a nice day, the water was wonderfully warm, and all the overpriced junk food was excellent. I must be growing up or something, because all the tacky offensive t-shirts in the souvenir shops have ceased to amuse me and begun to repulse me. (Although I did like the one that said "Honesty is the best policy, but insanity is a better defense.") I also caved to practicality and bought--horror of horrors--a skirt. Jeans aren't good beachwear, and I have a visceral, inexplicable hatred for shorts, so I got one of those long, light, tiered skirts. Tis quite comfortable. =P All in all, pretty fun--not my favorite activity ever, especially considering driving across the bay bridge was hell on wheels, but a nice trip to take for a day or two. Next time I'll be a bit more thorough with the sunscreen though--owww. And I love swimming in the ocean, if you count "standing thirty feet from shore and letting the waves slam into you" as swimming. Much fun.

I call that swimming in the ocean. HA! I'd love to see you in a skirt!

OOooh, it sounds like so much fun :D

Some guy you are :-P

Were you still dressed as a boy otherwise? I hope so. Messing with people's minds = fun. My brother mostly wears skirts these days because it's so hot out...it's no problem in my town, but back in the conservative town where I used to live? Oh, the fun never ends.

Aye, mostly--I probably looked distinctly female wandering around in a swimsuit with a skirt thrown on, but after I dried off and put on a t-shirt I got several snickering comments of "Dude... you're wearing a skirt." Messing with people's minds IS fun.

Ohh, ambiguity...

::thinks of how to spell that::

This girl in my class last year got all grossed out when I started talking about boys in skirts. She said something along the lines of "Ew, isn't that like, illegal? That's so wrong!"

Narrowminded teenagers amuse me.
