(no subject)

Going up to the grandparents' place in upstate NY till Tuesday or so for the whole Independence Day-slash-family reunion thinger. No internet. Yeah. Don't even want to think about what my friends list will look like when I get back. *snrk*

London trip is a week from Monday. Whoa. Staying till the following Saturday--which means no Slimelight, but I might have a chance to pick up a copy of HBP while I'm there. w00t. Any suggestions for things to do while I'm there?

Go on the London Eye. If it's still there. Hmm, Windsor is very nice to go visit as well as Bath, England

Oh yeah! Bath was kind of cool. *blink* Yay for Romans.

Definetely go to the London Eye, because it's awesome and you can see all of London.

Go out to the West Side and look at the theatres (or go to a play). Go to Trafalgar Square and the Piccadilly Circus (nearby, there is a really good record store that if memory serves correct, is the largest record store in the world.).

Although riding the Tube was totally awesome for me, it's probably not that big of a deal for you because you don't come from a place that doesn't have subways.

The Tower of London and the Tower Bridge are both cool and if you're in to English history, definetely places to go.

Bring me back Orlando Bloom, if he happens to be over there at the time. Or Ewan McGregor, or whoever.

Sorry, but if I find Ewan, he's MINE.

Suggestions? Don't eat. London food sucks.

The Tower of London is kind of boring actually except for the torture area. The crown jewels are exciting at first 'cause they're all shiny but it gets repetitive. I didn't spell that right. It's kind of late.

The London Eye is pretty cool - it's like this mega ferris wheel and you can see all of London from the top. At least, I think it was cool. I was very jetlagged when I went on it. Everything was spinny.

Um...trying to remember the other tourist crap I did there. If you want to see the Changing of the Guard, get there early. We got stuck in the crowd and all we could see was a couple of big furry hats in the distance.

You could go to a show in the West End! That was fun. Um...bugger. I can't think of what else we did. I'll dig out my itinerary from my trip sometime soon. We visited a lot of churches, which were pretty but probably wouldn't interest you.
