J'ai payé $12 pour une Brique et reçu une briquette!

I work on the cheapskate/poor-as-dirt student principle that no paperback is worth more than $10 unless it is (a) very rare, or (b) over 1000 pages. Thus, I happily forked over the money for this, under the impression that it was 1500 pages of crack to feed my addiction. But noooooes.

Tell me, where exactly on that page does it say "This is Tome I only! There are no barricades, ambiguously gay students, or watery suicides in this book! If you want the full version you're going to have to pay another $10 for the other two volumes!" WHERE?

...and of course I am going to pay another $10, even though I'm only 12 pages in. Because it's like crack, in a way.

Ehmigod, ICON LOVE.

Bwah? Why can't they put the WHOLE novel in ONE book?

Weeeeeeell, they do call it "Les Miserables I" and tell you that you can buy it together with "Les Miserables II." But erlack. I agree about the price of paperbacks.

Noooo, see, they don't call it "Les Miserables I." They just say "Les Miserables, French Edition." *shakes fist* That's right misleading, that is.
