Tried to pop popcorn. This has a long tradition of going horribly awry--or at least setting off the smoke detector. Well, I decided to make it extra-greasy and extra-salty, which would've been great except that as soon as I put the lid on, little specks of boiling oil started flying out the cracks.
Boiling oil hurts.
Especially when it hits you on the eyelid.
Ow.
Oh, and we dragged all the stuff out of the backyard and stocked up on food and batteries because my parents are paranoid nuts. I mean, it's not as if civilization is going to collapse because of one stupid hurricaine. Last time this happened everyone got in a tizzy and schools closed and it just ended up raining steadily all day.
One more thing: metaphorically speaking, X-Men is the gayest movie ever.
