You know what's a fun late-night activity? Rereading your fanfiction and wincing at how utterly awful most of it is. I'm horribly dissatisfied with my writing style, and what's more I feel like I should have gotten a beta reader for most of the fics I've posted. I mean, in the Les Mis fandom alone? (Unfunny and awkwardly timed.) (Minces words enough that the point is probably lost on most people.) (Complete sacrifice of characterization for teh_pretteh.) (Has fuck-all to do with Les Mis and could just as easily be originalfic.) (Twisted fantasies with no redeeming value whatsoever.)

....though I still maintain that I was smoking the good crack when I produced this and this. The writing may be a bit awkward, but those were the ones where the characters took on lives of their own and it shows.
