tenlittlebullets: (not obsessive. really.)
Arranged very roughly by location.

Rue Mondétour
40 rue des Archives (formerly 7 rue de l'Homme-Armé)
Cloître Saint-Merri
16 rue de la Verrerie
Pont Notre-Dame
Église St-Paul-St-Louis (where Marius married Cosette)
11 rue Sévigné (where Thénardier escaped from la Force)
6 Place des Vosges (Hugo museum)
Place de la Bastille (Napoleon's elephant...)
6 rue des Filles-du-Calvaire
Place Edmond Rostand (site of the Café Musain)
Jardin du Luxembourg
Panthéon
50(-52) Boulevard de l'Hôpital
Rue du Champ de l'Alouette
Rue Oudinot (formerly Plumet)
93 Quai d'Orsay (Musée des Égouts)
Fontaine Jean Valjean, Montfermeil

Am I forgetting anything...?

Some of these are really sketchy in terms of relation to their canon/historical location, but I'll probably visit them anyway. The last is the only one I'm worried about, because it's way out in the banlieue and it'll be a pain in the ass to get there and I have no idea whether that part of Montfermeil is touristy or in a really scary neighborhood.

(P.S. You learn something new every day--the real Société des Amis du Peuple met at 22 rue des Grès, very close to the location of the fictional Musain. This is probably only cool to me because it unites my Thing about real-life Amis with my Thing about knowing exactly where everything was in 1830s Paris--but I am amused. Vic, you sneaky bastard.)

(P.P.S. In less than 24 hours I will be on a train from Bordeaux to Montreuil-sur-Mer, the first leg on a journey of pure and unabashed geekery. *flail*)

tenlittlebullets: (lamarck is dead)
Oh shit, I need to pack, my train leaves in six hours. XD

[livejournal.com profile] lady_iphigeneia - Sorry I disappeared last night, the internet went asplody.

Things to freak out about:

- Front desk might not be happy about me trying to check out at 8pm, even if I pay for tonight.
- So not looking forward to lugging 50+lbs of suitcases on the Metro from Gare d'Austerlitz to Gare du Nord. Wonder if there's a bus.
- Last transfer, from Bethune to Montreuil, does not have a reserved spot. Probability that it will be full is rather low though, even if it is the height of Montreuil's tourist season.
- Also not looking forward to lugging my suitcases to the hotel. Oh well.

Au revoir, tout le monde. Will try to post from Paris, shouldn't be hard to snag wifi.
