Dec. 31st, 2009

tenlittlebullets: (if you permit it)
Eurostar finally got their act together and offered to reimburse my "alternative transportation." Now all I have to do is hunt up my train/ferry tickets and mail 'em off.

Mailed off a few Christmas gifts today, then headed back to Second Story Books (gulp) for more Patrick O'Brian because [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel tipped me off that the middle books in the series are always harder to find. Walked out with Surgeon's Mate, Thirteen Gun Salute, Nutmeg of Consolation, Wine-Dark Sea, Hundred Days, and A Sea of Words--which was all they had in paperback. I managed not to walk out with anything else, always a difficult feat at Second Story.

Nothing special planned for tonight, except staying up to give 2009 a swift kick in the arse on the way out. It was a great year for me personally, but I'm pretty sure everyone else I know would like to strike it permanently from existence.
