Feeling a bit better.
Mar. 2nd, 2010 17:43Bad:
- Still tired. Went to class yesterday and it was unexpectedly exhausting.
- Woke up yesterday with fluid in my ears. It made my hearing weird and distant all day.
Good:
- Swelling in throat has gone down almost entirely.
- Sinus congestion still present but less bad. To the point where once the decongestants kicked in I could actually breathe through my nose.
- Fluid in ears is draining pretty quickly; hearing almost entirely back to normal.
I dunno. I really don't want to be arsed to go to the doctor over what is probably a common cold, but it could be strep. Last time I had strep was in my early teens, from a girl at summer camp who passed her water bottle around for all to share and then told us she was sick; it turned out to be a drug-resistant monster strain that survived the first round of drugs, turned into a chronic low-level illness, and ended in antibiotics so strong that the pharmacist said "I'm so sorry" in hushed tones when my mom picked up the prescription.
So yeah, not interested in going through that again. But I get sick so infrequently that I don't know what symptoms merit going to the doctor. "Sick" for me means tired and sniffly, and is what generally happens when I'm fighting off a bug that has everyone else curled up in bed wanting to die.
Anyway, to make up for my excessively boring whining about my bout with that rare and horrid monster, the common cold, have some pictures of the cat curled up in my lap. Nobody can be unhappy with a really cute cat sleeping on their knees.
