In which I succumb to the urge to fiddle.

Welp. I made it an entire year without dyeing my hair. Ever since I hacked off my waist-length Crayola-crayon-red hair and buzzed it V for Vendetta style, it has been my natural, mousy, light brown/dark blond color--in terms of general coloration, round face, and squinty eyes, I could probably pass for John Simm's baby-dyke sister. Which is fantastic if I'm hitting on people at cons, but not so great for everyday life when you consider my wardrobe is mostly black with a flair for the gothy dramatic. (Imagine Simm!Master trying to pull off Ainley's look. Ouch.) Unfortunately, since I do have a desk job to hold down, further experiments with buzz cuts and Crayola colors would probably be frowned upon even though I know for a fact that I look fantastic with a nearly shaved head and a black lacy top. So as of about half an hour ago my hair is a nice medium chocolate brown that doesn't look particularly unnatural, but will probably hold up much better to all-black ensembles and experiments with styling products.
