Grrrgh.

I hate the Maryland MVA. Hate. Hate. Hate. For one thing, they need to shoot whoever made their website, or at least tell him to eschew obfuscation. But more importantly, there could be something I missed in the labyrinthine mess of forms and PDFs and inadequate explanations, but I could swear it says you have to pass a test to get your learner's permit. DUH, how can you learn anything to pass the test if you can't drive a car because you don't have your permit? Catch-22, paging Catch-22.

But in two days I'll be eligible to go down to the MVA and apply for a learner's permit, paradoxes aside, which means that in a week or so I'll be driving. *scary music*

In other news, NaNoWriMo approacheth [well sorta... registration opens on October 1] and I have no idea what I'm going to write. The most I've ever produced fic-wise is 45 pages of utter drivel over a period of approximately six months, unedited, unbeta'd, smutty crap that somehow gathered decent feedback from my fellow peon-status quasi-writers on the Rammstein slash mailing list. In other words, I'm screwed.

Buuuut, I'm going to give it a shot anyway. Hmmm, 50,000 words divided by thirty days in November is about 1,666 and 2/3 words a day. Factor in off-days and such, round up, and that should make it about 2,000 words a day... oy, my normal pace is closer to 2,000 words a week. Or month. Eep. Maybe I shouldn't be such a bloody perfectionist and just hack it out like abovementioned crapola.

In other other news: Type O Negative and Lacuna Coil. The 25th. KMFDM. November 6th. Hell yes.
