JOJ OMG.
My friends, due to the amazingness of a trading partner on PFN, I am now the proud owner of, not only two bootlegs of John Owen-Jones as Valjean, but a very exotic specimen captured wild from the London stage: a John Owenjolras. Dear God. *faints*
Also, I tried to stay up again last night but failed miserably. I keeled over in the middle of my Arabic homework and woke up at six AM still groggy from a dream about academic credits and Victor Hugo's poetry.

Warlow? You think?

Hmm... not necessarily on ODM, but in the final battle and a couple other places I can't remember, he definitely made me think Warlow. This is not a bad thing.

Hmm, never made that connection myself. (I personally think Warlow's voice is better than chocolate and sex, but I don't really care for his Enjolras. Apart from the "riiiiiiiise" because... well. Hi, orgasmic note.)

It's not so much a matter of interpretation as a certain quality to his voice. It made me die of squee when I heard Warlow's E! even though his habit of shouting random words irked me, and it made me die of squee when I heard JOJ doing it. Hmm.

"On his funeral day they will HONOURHISNAME! With the light of rebellion ABLAAAAAAAZE in their eyes! From their candles of grief we will KINDLETHEFLAME! They will see that the day of SALVATION is near!" you mean? (That part drives me mad.) I think it's more a problem with the CSR being odd, though. I'm sure he was a hella lot better onstage. He just doesn't sound like E! to me, though. It sounds like Anthony Warlow singing Enjolras' bits and sounding rather bored doing it.

....wow, I just had a thought, which is that the CSR is essentially high-tech Les Mis karaoke.

With some horrible singers. Just like real karaoke!
