Watched from the wings as the scenes were replaying, we saw ourselves now as we never had seen...

It's kind of sad to realize that I have very little life outside when I'm next going to New York to see Les Mis.

I am halfheartedly working on a website update though. Kind of a postscript to the Paris trip, which now seems rather distant and unreal and dim in hindsight--instead of idealizing it now that I've left, I've been saying to myself, "It can't have been as wonderful as it seemed, can it?"

Except it was, and now I really want to go back.

I did go to Ren Faire again yesterday, with my mother this time. Giggled uncontrollably at the turkey leg stand (TURKEY), and walked away with a brand new quill pen and a poetic translation of the Norse eddas. I am pathologically incapable of going to Ren Faire without spending at least $50 on food and useless crap.

And I have a new icon.

Ahaha, awesome trips are like that - once they're over there's this sense of "wow, that actually happened!"

Tell me about it - this weekend, I wiped my computer and discovered that oh, my internet problem from the past few days is because my one remaining functional USB port is loose or something and all wireless adapters hate it :( On the up side, everything else now functions as designed and I finally burned my Rent recording to CD. Really not very exciting - not nearly as exciting as seeing barricade boys.

And boy were my folders a mess - I found all kinds of stuff I forgot I had!

(If it weren't that he works all weekend, I would have supposed that Minarik was at a Renn faire. Of course, that can't possibly explain "eyeballs of glue and joy". I *really* need some of whatever he is on.)
