this would be why I haven't transferred anywhere yet.

Are college websites deliberately designed to make prospective students feel crushingly inadequate, or is it just my inferiority complex at work again?

*curls up in a corner somewhere*

I think college websites do this on purpose. I often felt the same way.

Speaking from personal experience, yes. :(

Hahaha, they so are. Even the crap colleges like to make themselves out to be elite, and then once you get there, you can't stop laughing.

Indeed they do. I remember I went to visit this really terrible college where all the students were either drunk, brain-dead, or on some sort of drug and the campus was horrifically ugly, but, from the way the website made itself out to be, it was the Maryland equivilent of Oxford.

*hugs and internet chocolates* Come to Smith! There aren't any core requirements and the language departments are awesome.

I'm trying to remember the name of the college my cousin is going to...it's in California, full of old hippie professors, and instead of applying you can go to a "be accepted on the spot" thing. Hold on...

Humboldt!
