and letitallgo know, when letitallgo fight, 10littlebullets looks like easy pickins but they've got some bite-- AUGH! FUCK GODDAMNIT BITCHASS BOB SAGET! *dies*
Well, Ten Little Bullets isn't exactly new... it was among the discarded lyrics written by James Fenton before they replaced him with Herbert Kretzmer. So it pretty much predates all the current English lyrics.
Here's how it goes, to the same melody as Gavroche's "Look Down" part:
Ten little bullets in my hand, Ten little chances to be free: One for the king of this great land, Two for the aristocracy, Three for the bishops and the clergymen Four for the prefects of police. Now's your chance, I'll say when. Trust Gavroche, count to ten.
I actually like it a lot better than Little People, which was always a really blatant ploy for pathos. Ten Little Bullets is darker and more defiant and more suited for Gavroche.
Sounds like it. Of the musical versions to date, I think the OFC album probably features the most accurate (and by that I mean most Hugo-like) depiction of him, as far as retaining a satisfactory amount of snark and grit.
Haha, yes, but Ten Little Bullets is at least an improvement on Little People. At least in theory--one of several, uh, questionable directing choices in the revival has Gavroche acting scared and grimly angry in his death scene intead of, y'know, snarky and defiant until the end.
One of the better changes to the Les Mis revival was replacing "Little People" with a song called "Ten Little Bullets" for Gavroche's death scene. I, uh, like the new version a lot better, as is probably evident.
I remember how confused I was when I changed mine and I kept putting my old one in and it'd just change it to the new one. Hahaha. "Hello. This is duva, my name is now duva. ETA: Aaaaagh I was duva before, not duva!!!" Yeah.

I was never really a fan of "Little People" (at all), but still! First they dispense with the hideous Cosette nun-dress, and now this?
