"To obey, just like that, without questioning--that's something only people like you can do."

Is this the week of unpleasant medical brouhaha or what? Mom called the oral surgeon the other day and asked how soon I could get an appointment to have my wisdom teeth out. Tuesday. Oh well, at least I get treated to a big dinner on Monday night in preparation for a week of living off of jello, oatmeal, and mashed bananas. And at least they're giving me real painkillers.

The cat's doing better. The insulin dose turned out to be pretty small, and apparently his past medical history means there's a higher chance the diabetes is temporary. Poor kitty was shedding like mad from stress at the vet, but he calmed down after he got home.

I've been infernally lazy this weekend, to the extent that my one burst of activity was renting Pan's Labyrinth and watching it all the way through, twice. It was made of win and awesomesauce; maybe when I'm feeling less lazy I'll write something substantive about it, but considering I'll be spending lots of time on Vicodin this week, probably not.

This seems to be the summer of the wisdom teeth pulling; a lot of my friends are getting theirs out, too. Here's to a week of jello and ice cream and a speedy recovery!

I hope the best for your cat, too!

Hooray for painkillers. They might make you lazy, but you'll be laying around thinking you're the most awesome thing on earth. I'm almost sad that I don't need my wisdom teeth out as it's one less excuse to use them.

Aw, hope your cat gets better.

Also, Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite movie ever!
