Reasons my friends are awesome.

1. My copy of Mark Steel's Vive la Révolution has not seen my bookshelf for months. I lent it out to someone back at the beginning of the semester and every time it gets returned the same thing happens: borrower gives it back to me at dinner, I open to a random page and start snickering, another friend asks what's so funny, and I start reading aloud. This inevitably ends in the book getting lent out again right there on the spot. By the time it's made the rounds, everyone in the damn house will know exactly why the French Revolution is Made Of Fucking Awesome.

2. Went for a walk in the woods with friends because it was a nice day. After many jokes about enjoying the Romantic beauty of nature and hiking through the Alps and drowning in a lake in Greece, we saw a pair of hawks. This led to an on-the-spot Bad Romantic Poetry Contest about the uncorrupted Noble Savage Hawks feasting on the defenseless flesh of the decadent campus squirrels who had been corrupted by civilization.

Also I have come to the conclusion that Courfeyrac is Dumas-circa-1830 only without anything published.

More people should experience the awesome that is Vive la Revolution. >.>

And how did you come to that conclusion?

Ah, Mark Steel

I went into the woods because I wished to live deliberately and front only the essential facts of life? Sounds like a fun day :D
