Upcoming Les Mis stuff

Here are the regionals I'm going to try to go to:

Fulton Opera House (Lancaster, 6/11-7/12): My grandparents live in Lancaster, so I'll probably be seeing this in the company of my grandmother. No date fixed yet, but if anyone wants to see it with me and a really sweet and awesome old lady, let me know.

Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera (7/7-7/19): Am I right in thinking that we're all going to try to see it on the 11th, or is it a different date?

Le Capitole de Québec (6/17-7/26): Still tentatively planned for July 18th.

Forestburgh Playhouse (upstate NY, 7/7-7/19): Great, it's only playing during the exact week I'm going to see both CLO and Québec. On the other hand, it's pretty much on my way back from Pittsburgh, so maybe I'll see it on the 12th.

Also, I'm going to be home in two weeks (weekend of June 19-21), and for Father's Day my dad has invited me and any of my friends who want to come onto his boat. (Yes, my dad has a boat. Yes, he has more money than he knows what to do with. Yes, I know I'm a lucky bitch.) So anyway, if anyone's free that weekend and wants to go zooming around the Potomac, let me know. :D

Kristin and I are going to Pittsburgh the evening of the 11th. We're also going to hit Fulton County's, but haven't decided when yet.

Ha, I was right, it's the 11th. And thank god it's the evening show; I was working off my mid-Atlantic sense of geography and assuming it'd take four or five hours to get to Pittsburgh, but no, from central MA it's at least a nine-hour drive.

Which means there's no reason for me not to stop and catch the Sunday matinee in Forestburgh; my Sunday will be eaten by driving anyway, it's on the way, and it's an excuse to get out of the car.

Let me know what the possible dates for Fulton County are when you decide, because while it's a Family Event for me and I can only go when my aunt and grandmother are available, at this point it's still definitely possible to coordinate. (And god I haven't seen Kristin in ages, so that'll be fun.)

I have my CLO ticket. :D

Where are you guys sitting? I have a seat way on the left in the Director's Circle.

We are left orchestra, row G, seats 49 and 51.

By the way, are you and/or Kristin free on June 19 (or later that weekend)? Because I'm going to be in DC to interview for my French student visa, and I think Jenn's coming down on the 19th.

Kristin and I have tickets for King Lear on the 19th, but we're free the rest of the weekend as far as I know.

Awesome. :D How about Sunday? It would probably be boating in the late morning/afternoon, then dinner, then hanging around being geeky.

I dunno if it looks like you'll be missing much with that one. It's about a two hour drive for me though so maybe I'll try to go. I'm gonna try to catch the Lancaster one though.

Heh, yeah. If I see it at all it'll be on the way back from Pittsburgh CLO, as an excuse to get out of the car.

I'm sad that Ed Juvier isn't going to be in the Forestburgh Playhouse one.

Couple of things:

a. Yes, we should find a hotel/hostel. Sorry to make you wait so long, I just got my plane ticket.
b. what's the schedule looking like for the boat thing? I'd love to go with you, but I have to help small children do yoga and meditate for more than three seconds on Friday the 19th.
c. Am very tempted by Quebec, but am having some difficulty convincing them it's a good idea. What are your plans for that?

[identity profile] 10littlebullets.livejournal.com 2009-06-09 10:38 pm (UTC)(link)
a. OK. The hotels/hostels page on StudentUniverse isn't working for me, so if it shows up all right for you, maybe pick out a couple likely-looking ones and send links?

b. Schedule is b0rked because [livejournal.com profile] mmejavert is coming down on Friday which is the night everyone else is not free, so it's still up in the air. Will be discussing it with various people

c. It looks like the ticket availability for Québec is best on Sunday July 19th, so we'd be meeting at Smith (I'm in Talbot over the summer) on Saturday, sleeping over, driving to Québec for the show on Sunday, and wandering back to our various homes on Monday.

Update on the boat thing: Now it's looking like Sunday is our best bet. Does that work? :D

Also do you have your visa yet? and how long is it for? because OMG LES MIS IN PARIS IN JUNE.

[identity profile] toi-marguerite.livejournal.com 2009-06-10 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
a. Wait, my notes might be wrong, but I've got a bullet point that sayd, "arrive 27th, night at hotel, 28th get bank account, etc. Do you have that or did I get it wrong?

b. (b for boat! :D) Yes, that sounds fab.

Also, no, do not yet have my visa. I'm getting it at the end of the month.
