Signs you are an incorrigible nerd.
Fun fact about bleach: if you have previously bleached and dyed your hair, any attempts to bleach it again will result in a lightened, yellowed version of that color.
This is relevant because my hair is supposed to be bright goddamn blood-of-virgins red, and lately it's been faded goddamn red no matter how much dye I put on it, so the time came to bleach it again. And so I wound up with six inches of bright yellow roots with the rest of my hair orange.
Now most people, in this situation, would be thinking it's a good thing nobody's going to see this before I dye it because OMG bad bleach job hall of fame. But no. Because I am an incorrigible nerd, I went "COOL! I look like the Absinthe Robette chick! My hair is even clumping into damp Art Nouveau tendrils as it dries!"
Unfortunately, dear readers, I did not bring my camera with me to my summer retreat, and by the time I remembered I could use my phone camera, my hair was more... fluffy... than tendril-y. But rest assured that if I ever find a way to get those photos from my phone onto the computer, they will be shared, bad bleach job and all.

(by the way, that's NOT me, just a random pic I found in google)
But it only lasted that nice and bright for a couple of weeks and the bleaching and dying process was a nighmare since I am a natural brunette. At first my bleached hair was nearly white which was kinda cool, but after a few months it turned yellow, and when the pink was fading away from hair and eyebrowns (yes, you can dye your eyebrows, I always did it and I never had any problem) I looked absolutetly awful with black eyebrows and yellow hair with black roots.
So, I said goodbye to my beautiful pink :-(
