In which I start leaking money again.
I have money! My check for my summer job arrived Thursday after a few weeks of playing mail tag with the science center, and after half of it went to savings and summer housing, I finally have substantial amounts of money with which to buy tickets and shiny things.
Things I spent more than $5 on today:
- Lancaster LM tickets (which my dad paid for because it's a Family Event--June 28 evening, if anyone's interested)
- Pittsburgh CLO ticket (fifth row mezz if the seating chart isn't lying to me)
- A pretty dress at Forever 21 (yes, yes, I know, but it's pretty)
- Fleur-de-lis hairsticks!
- Thai food
- MORE BOOKS (the fourth and fifth Temeraire books, The Persian Boy, and a book about cars because I'm sick of my dad and brother being condescending shits on the subject)
Of all those, the only item I'm even considering regretting is the dress, but it hangs really well on me, I'd wear it as-is even though it's not my usual style, and it could definitely be gothed up if I had the inclination. And I desperately need more summery clothing; I'm exceedingly well-stocked in the billowing-wool-skirts and long-sleeved-black-blouses department, not so much with short-sleeved lightweight things.
