Have not updated because my LJ client is full of Lausanne and that's not done yet, but just a quick note:

I GOT BB22 FOR WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 7TH MATINEE. I'm going to see London Les Mis, and I'm going to see Thaxton!

And since today is my last day of freedom before courses start, I'm going to try to do stuff today--finish up the Musée des Arts et Métiers, which is AMAZING and last time we got kicked out at closing still gawping at the first floor of exhibits. Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, which I passed on the bus once and it looked interesting. Catacombs if I have time. And I kind of want to student-rush Barber of Seville even though it's going to be there until April and I just dropped a bunch of money on Les Mis.

Can I tag along for the Mis fun? Also, do you have an idea of when you'd leave for London and where you'd stay? Splitting hotel rooms is fun!

Also, I hauled myself over to the pharmacy today and am now less loopy and hopefully less full of flu germs so I will not give you microbes this weekend.

I just booked Eurostar tickets--€30 each way if you select "Youth (12-26)", leave Paris at 6:45am and leave London at 8pm-ish same day. Which avoids the hassle of finding a youth hostel in London (I've heard the prices are ridiculous) while still giving a full day in the city.

And yes, come along for the Les Mis fun! That Wednesday is apparently the only day that week that Thaxton isn't on vacation (I lied, his vacation is from 28/9 to 3/10). Unfortunately I got the last seat in row BB, but I heard there are still other seats available.

OMG DAVID THAXTON! I'm so excited for you -- he's ABSOLUTELY amazing.

And I'd highly recommend the Catacombs. It was really eerie, but highly enjoyable at the same time because it's so fully of history and there are tons of french poems carved into stone plaques amongst the dead which are fun to translate.

One more week before the storm!

Can I just say that I'm so, so excited for you (this has been a long time coming...)!? Can't wait to have you here. But oh God for shame, I can't believe I've got a ticket for the 6th, for the 8th, but not for the 7th of all days that week. xD

I forgot, what is the status quo? Warn David of your coming y/n? ;)
