London was lovely. eppiesue is awesome and let me sleep in her dorm room and we kept each other up far too late fangirling. And I got to see my dad and do touristy stuff--National Gallery, Victoria & Albert Museum, Natural History Museum. Plus a moment of AoS geekery in Trafalgar Square. I have resigned myself to the fact that London geography, unlike Paris geography, bounces right off my head and I need to look at a map whenever I want to know where I'm going.

Tickets booked for Copenhagen! 8th and 9th December. Will be seeing Les Mis on the 8th--yes, the photos looked so awesome that I am going to go see it in a language I don't understand. Also arranged plane tickets home over break; Vienna has officially fallen through, so I'm going to be spending the first few days of break in London and leaving from Heathrow. Moar Les Mis raaaar.

This week is going to be crazysticks--I have a midterm on Wednesday for my insanely difficult algorithms class, a midterm on Saturday for my less-difficult processors-and-binary class, and then on Sunday I move in with the new host family. Current host mother is going to be informed of this... on Saturday while I'm at my exam. Haha. If she weren't a horrid bitch she'd be getting more notice; but I and the program directors are all convinced that she will flip her lid and give me a hard time when she finds out, and I don't need to deal with that shit when I'm trying to study for my midterms.

We may need to plan for New Year's Day, in that case. I'm back in Illinois the whole weekend after Christmas this year, getting back late on Sunday. New Year's Eve ought to get tons of people out so that everyone's too hung over to want to go out again the next night for the usual Friday night stuff, and Jenn won't be working on New Year's Day, so she can get down here easily.

I'm starting to regret this "going home for Christmas" thing, but tickets are already bought and paid for.

Yes-- I have the four day weekend for Christmas, but I didn't know when you were going home. I can certainly do New Year's. I had originally thought that Christmas might be better, but then I remember it's the 31st that it'll be crazyass, not necessarily the first, so I think we'll be okay, crowd-wise?

I really, really am looking forward to getting horribly trashed at Wisdom, personally, and wish we could do it more often. :)

I figure the 1st can't be any worse than an ordinary Friday night, and it might actually be better because it'll be the day after New Years Eve craziness. (NYE I might be able to do as a v. late apartment/house party, but I'm ushering at Studio Theatre that evening, so I do mean very late.)

Oh no, I'm back in town on Sunday the 27th or whatever that is. If I had to spend more than four days with my parents, I'd probably go insane. As it is, this trip home is with the understanding that I'm getting together with friends.

We should all totally get together in the afternoon for geeking out.
