Well, here we are. I'm in the lodge right now, hooked up to their internet and hoping Mozilla's popup blocker works. I'm writing from my laptop, which after a total fiasco involving WinXP rescue discs has had Red Hat Linux installed on it, and which I've spent the majority of the past two days configuring. Anyway.
Skiing's been okay, but it's getting warmer so the slopes are either slushy or icy, so not good. I did fall on my butt once on a double black diamond, but luckily there was no one there to laugh at me.
I love vacation. Finally, a chance to sleep in.
Still haven't seen RoTK. We rented FoTR last night, though. I'd nearly forgotten how long it is--but I remembered more than I thought I did from slogging through the book, leading to much exasperation when my brother kept asking, "The mines of what?" and my dad kept doing his Agent Smith imitation whenever Elrond appeared.

Ugh, talk about it, that is with out a doubt the most horrible book I have read on my own will. If they just SHUT THE HELL UP, they would get to Mordor twice as quickly...
I've never been skiing, I went Snowboading earlier this year and I sucked so badly... I was falling over and doing half flips and landing on my back, so I don't think I'll do that again in a hurry. Heh.
