Continuing the string of updates from internet cafes.
Still not dead!
Currently in Budapest. Got ripped off at the train-station exchange office, wandered through the crappy run-down neighborhood near the station, managed to find the river and from there the tourist places. Yay! Budapest might possibly beat Paris for sheer quantity of imposing neo-Classical architecture, even in the beat-up parts of town. See also: St Stephen's Basilica. It is beautiful and holy crap you guys I am all alone in a city where I don't speak a word of the local language.
Yesterday was Slovenia with
queenofthewilis. (Augh, finding punctuation on the Hungarian keyboard is hard!) First Ljubljana, then Lake Bled, both of which were beautiful and a bit more low-key than the super-touristy places I've been to so far. Bled in particular was lovely, and we had silly conversations about the waterfowl and much fun was had.
Aaaand tonight I get on a night train to Krakow. And this time I will not be an idiot, and will look up the exchange rates before I go.

Yay! :) I wonder if it'll be very crowded at the Wawel now though, since they just buried the president there.
Sounds like an exhausting, but fun trip.
