CRUNCH TIME
Oh, am I ever paying dearly for my two weeks of fun. Three weeks of hell on wheels as all my papers and projects come due at the same time. My linguistics paper was due Tuesday; I managed to turn it in Wednesday, after much apologizing and begging exaggerated technical difficulties, and also (I think) managed not to completely flunk the partial exam (25% of our grade I think?) that was also on Tuesday. Monday my databases project is due. Sometime vaguely in the following week my network programming project is due. Exams for those two classes on the 18th and 19th which I am utterly unprepared for, I defend my projects before a jury around the 25th, exams for linguistics and theatre I don't even know when, and sometime in all of this I have to plan Barricade Day. Oof.
And yes, I know it would help if I had STARTED any of these things before spring break ended, but I never claimed to have good study skills. Or good life skills, for that matter; I've been forgetting to sleep and eat, which is not good, you can only forget to do ONE of those things at a time. I've also been killing my eyes by working on my database project in an old-school monotype green-on-black terminal window, not because I have any 1337 pretensions but because I have to get to my files on the school computer SOMEHOW and I keep forgetting to set my SSH client to a less eye-bleeding color scheme.
Actually, the only reason I am on LiveJournal and not feverishly writing Java wrapper methods for my SQL queries is because the wifi keeps blipping in and out of existence, so I keep getting kicked out of my SSH sessions to the university computers. This is probably my cue to get up, change my clothes, and get something to eat.
