As promised: too many books

Fortunately my dad, who's moving out of his house this summer, has offered me as many bookshelves from the house as I want. I think only two will fit in my room, but one of them is a six-foot-tall glass-doored affair that should be able to hold plenty of books.

In the meantime...

My bookshelf:

Note the beginnings of double-shelving with the Patrick O'Brian books in the lower right. Clearly this was already getting out of control, even without...

The piles of books!

On the left against the wall, and on the white chest of drawers: books taken from my room at my dad's house.

Random piles on the floor: stuff that's arrived from France and from Amazon.

On the right against the wall next to the bed: yes, that is a double stack of Animorphs books, shut up

Under the desk: way too many LPs, but that's a different story altogether.

. . . wow. And I thought I had too many books!

(also, that's a Big Freaking Pile of Great Illustrated Classics you've got there.)

Love it. And hell yeah Animorphs.

Sorry, I have to laugh at the Animorphs books, I really do. Honestly I would never have guessed!

But if you have that much space, plus two more shelves, surely you won't fill it up with what's on the floor? Actually, I just had another look at the photo. Don't worry.

OOKS. *squints in attempt to recognise something* What's in the blue box? (Also, I worship your curtains.)

That is impressive indeed.

Wow. And I thought my stack o' books was bad. The next time my parents complain, I'm totally showing them that second photo. Brava, madame.

nice record player (is that what it is?) in the 2nd pic.
I used to have a few of those Great Illustrated Classics- I didn't know there were that many! lol.

Oof! I commiserate. I have *six* 6' shelves, all of them filled nearly to bursting, and double- and triple-shelved to death.

I like your clock? radio? thingy on your side table next to the bed.

That is both impressive and marvelous. <3

PS, I love your shoes.

Whoa. I thought my friend's book collection was big...
All I can recognize is Harry Potter and the Julie Rose translation of Les Mis.

I had to look up what animorphs were, so I can't make fun of you. Besides, I still have some books that were the basis for that middling WB series Roswell from 10 years ago, so I can't make fun of anybody, ever.
