Grrrr.

The CD ripper on my new laptop is being a horrible evil bitch--it rips to .wav just fine, but when I try to encode into .mp3 the file just sounds like a bunch of random noise. And not the kind of random noise that can also be music. Oh, and I don't have the network up yet so I have to listen to my mp3s from the Windows computer because I haven't figured out how to run Kazaa Lite on Wine yet. And of course Mutella and Opera won't install...

But I have to say that the applications this laptop came with make me droooool. In the category of games, they have Tetris and Minesweeper, my favourite addictions, as well as Descent (!) and a whooooole lot of others. I'm surprised it didn't come preloaded with Quake and Halo. Also an AIM clone, debuggers, scientific tools, a Photoshop-quality graphics editor, multiple browsers/email clients/news clients, ham radio, tons more that I haven't even gotten into yet, etc etc. And the media programs... *drool* Comes preloaded with all you'd ever need in the way of synths, burning/ripping/playing audio, mixers, recorders, DJ tools, MIDI, video editing... *dies* Of course, I'm not sure if it all works [and I need a better soundcard to use the synths] but still... o_O.

Hmh... we have exams next week, then we're out of school. Exams are easy, the worst part is that I still have to get up at six in the morning. Gah.

God damn, I want an ice cream bar. I just ate the last of the milk-free ones and I've become horribly addicted to them. Thought I hated chocolate... damn.

I WANT TO GO TO CAMP DAMNIT!

And what would these reasons be, ma'am?

'cuz

Hee hee, I was just gonna leave it at that. Nah, the reason I said it is because it appears (no accusations intended, of course) that you have this inside knowledge of computers and such, and that's too cool. I call cooler people "CIA operatives". For instance, I have this friend who also works for an airline, and he spends his weekends in Europe. The company seriously thought he was an operative - it was AWESOME. He's just a sexy bitch, that's all.

At any rate, you're coooool. I should really learn more about computers, even though I'd probably never make a career out of it. God, I miss programming. I'd like to learn that stuff again.
