I HAVE A JOB OFFER

A MOTHERFUCKING JOB

I NO LONGER FAIL ADULTHOOD FOREVER

Details to be discussed Monday--it is basically three jobs rolled into one. Programming/tinkering with data-collection software for development/public-health/etc surveys in third world countries, shipping out to the countries themselves to help set up the software and train people how to use it, then whacking the results into shape once they come in and tabulating them prettily to send off to USAID and various other statistics agencies. So I get varied work that is actually useful, I get to travel to interesting places, and I get to use my French and possibly get paid to learn Russian or Arabic. Win.

Oh, and money. WOO, financial independence and no longer having to mooch off my parents.

I'm giving you first dibs before I post on Craigslist, but I'm not posting until after 1 September or until I have absolute confirmation that my roommate is definitely leaving by 1 October.

And Friday, I'm buying you sorbetto at Pitango to celebrate this whole responsible adult real world stuff :)

Argh, I could swear this comment posted but LJ must've eaten it while it was hiccuping last night. Anyway, I intend to celebrate responsible real world stuff (and having money) by buying you all gelato. And also that Other Possible Flatmate Situation will probably not materialize for another six months or so, so a tentative yes on the room, and also is there any furniture you need? Because my parents are trying to fob off spare couches, bookshelves, end tables, etc. on me.
