This is just not my week, is it?
The good news is: it's probably not cholera.
The bad news is: I am a failtastic ball of social anxiety who probably just made myself look like an incompetent fuckwit in front of multiple people involved in the management of the project due to my inability to articulate myself, I was looking forward to two days of not having to talk to anyone only to find out I have to work Saturday, I am invited to dinner with the head honcho of the Côte d'Ivoire survey and he was talking enthusiastically about making me try local dishes that (a) would kill me due to allergies, (b) are made of things I really don't like, or (c) would tear up my already-abused GI tract even more, and I have no graceful way to wriggle out of this.
Oh yeah, and also the fact that I even had to worry whether it was cholera. Let me tell you, internet, I had a really, really fun morning.
