*points to icon* Told you I'd make one. Who needs Photoshop when you have MSPaint? :P
Erk, I had to give an impromptu speech in English today, on the subject of "my life as a journey" or something like that. I babbled rather incoherently about my life being like riding the metro, managed to invoke two superfluous and unexplaned references to death and destruction, didn't explain anything correctly, sprinkled my speech with "um"s and "ya know"s--and somehow managed to keep the undivided attention of the girl I'm currently lusting madly after, which is no mean feat considering she never pays any attention in class whatsoever. She even giggled and nodded in understanding a few times. o_O
Annnnd, when I arrived at Barnes and Noble this evening, I held roughly $89 worth of gift certificates. When I left, I had almost $8. A smattering of dorky teach-yourself books: calculus, Italian, and a really neat but hideously expensive beginner's guide to the concepts of architecture, plus Ender's Shadow, just because I loved Ender's Game. I was toying with getting Brave New World or The Da Vinci Code, but chances are we already had a copy of the former, and the latter was $25 and thus out of my price range.
