In Washington DC today it was in the mid-nineties, hazy, humid, and Code Orange, which means the air is positively hazardous. My mother sprung on me the fact that we left at two for our flight to Jacksonville, Florida for my grandfather's 75th birthday. I squirmed and bitched and tried to no avail to get out of it--after all, if it's like that way up in DC, it's gotta be worse down south in St Augustine, right?
Today in Florida it was in the upper seventies, breezy, and moderately humid in a beachy sort of way. We went out to the ocean tonight and wound up shivering at times. Either the world has been turned upside down, or we really need to move. Somewhere nice and cool and dry compared to Washington. Like the Amazon.
Fucking hell, I miss San Francisco.
