Insomnia
Oh, the things one thinks about at 2:30 in the morning...
So I was trying to cook up some inspiration for![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
morrigain's fic, wondering how I could possibly get Lucius Malfoy and Dorian Gray to stop trading one-liners long enough to actually get any slash going. So I started to page back through the actual book--*gasp*canon*gasp*--to get Dorian reasonably IC (figuring I was butchering great literature enough without adding insult to injury), and pretty much gave up to the insanity when my brain started serving me mental images of Captain Jack Sparrow delivering whatever random witticisms my eyes and/or mind jumped to. I don't even think they were all from the goddamned book--some of them I remember distinctly as coming from Lady Windermere's Fan. I did manage to kick my brain back to HP though--unfortunately, Mr. Gray was not present, as by that point my brain had decided to skip him altogether and move to the Malfoy rendition of Salomé. To which my rational mind responded, "what the FUCK? Squick squick SQUICK!" and I gave up the prospect of sleep to come downstairs and ramble in my LJ.
So, random thoughts of the moment:
Shaz, dear, I have miscellaneous little ideas but they don't want to be a story. Give me a little while to gather it together.
Johnny Depp would make a fantastic Dorian Gray.
Paradoxes are fun. You can use them to prove almost anything. Yes, this does relate to what I was talking about, I just don't remember how.
The algebraic proof that 2=1, however, isn't mathematically sound. I feel betrayed.
For practically the first time in my life, I'm almost afraid to go to school tomorrow.
Wow, counting this one I've made 6 posts in 24 hours.
I should just stop talking now.
DISCLAIMER: Any semblance of a rational mind that I might have disappears in the wee hours of morning. Therefore if nothing behind the cut made sense, it's not my bloody fault.
