Random notes on my life:

Drowning in work OMGWTFBBQ. Most of it is lots of stuff to memorize for Arabic and lots of music to learn for six different classes and ensembles, but there's so much crap and so many loose ends that need to be tied up. *beats head against wall*
May not be as academically screwed as I thought though: Apparently I can submit an exception request for an extension of the grade revision period as well as for being able to add a project after the deadline, so it might just work out. *crosses fingers*
Now that my hair has grown out to five or six inches and I no longer tramp about in combat boots and Wumpscut t-shirts, it is apparent that nothing about my appearance screams "dyke" any longer. Which means that... uh... guys are hitting on me. And it's creepy.
But I feel pretty! Not because I'm getting hit on, but because I do feel like I'm pretty. XD Shhhh, don't burst my bubble.
Did I mention that on Friday I gave my two weeks' notice to quit my job? Hallelujah, free time!
Room is a mess. Waughhhhh. Also this dorm house thingie I'm living in is infested with mice and it's really gross. I never see them but if I leave food in plastic bags in the bottom cupboards they gnaw through the plastic and eat it. Très annoying.
Have noticed that I feel strange when I don't have a fandom, like some people feel strange when they don't have a boyfriend. And though I'm nowhere near leaving Les Mis (*clinglove*), I have a sneaking suspicion what the next one is going to be and it makes me feel... secure, almost? Because I know that in a year or two, when I've gone through all the meta a zillion times and the stagnant-ness is getting on my nerves, I'll have something else to jump right into.
If you haven't already guessed the something else, your hint is: my hed iz pastede off yay.
Which, keeping with the fandomsexual metaphor, makes me feel guilty about reading A Place of Greater Safety. Like I'm cheating on LM. XD
zachary_evans, Joly himself is yours, but I think we'll have to share Charles Hagerty. *thud*
What do y'all think? Work on quick, easy smut fics to get myself writing again, or divert some serious energy into a genfic that may or may not get done? I don't think I have time to do both right now.
(ETA because I forgot) My school bookstore sells Charles Dickens action figures. How awesome is that?!
