Um, wow.

I'm turning into an international Phantom of the Opera junkie. *scary music* It started with the Canadian CD... then I got the one from Vienna... and now, the nice people on the PhantomFans message board are sending me the Swedish and Hungarian recordings, and Amazon stocks the Hamburg and Japanese casts and I'm torn between them.

Someone help me, before I spend all my money on these things. *whimper* I really should save my money, because apparently Amazon is going to start re-stocking the Lowell Bair translation of Leroux soon and I really wanna buy that, plus I'd like a copy in French that resides on a bookshelf, not my hard drive, and... yeah.

Obsession is a scary thing indeed.

(And this fall I am SO crashing a Halloween party dressed as the Red Death.)

Taking a break from freakazoid obsessed fan mode--it occurs to me that since I'll be at Simon's Rock this fall, I'll miss the wonderful Maryland Ren Faire. *tear* And although there are ren faires all over New England, SRC is in the middle of absolute nowhere, so the closest ones are all about an hour and a half away. Ah, well... the one in Maryland is actually pretty far from our house, so it'll be nothing new. But I'll miss ours--it's quite the spectacle. Perhaps we could organize one on campus, like they used to do at Reed before it descended into one huge orgy party.

Aaah, yes, the important things in life: Phantom and Ren Faire.
