Exciting things. :D

Going to the post office, then to UMD. If I don't die in a horrible rush-hour accident on the Beltway, I should return and have some shiny new geekstuff for all of you for Barricade Day.

Have been looking into expenses for the French program I've decided on; it amuses me but does not surprise me that the airplane tickets might end up costing more than the program itself. (No wait, scratch that, program costs are in euros and I've forgotten how weak the dollar is. Woe.) And speaking of airfares, I usually fly with my parents who insist on nonstop flights, so I need the opinion of a more seasoned traveller: are there any airports I should actively avoid a transfer in? Dulles-De Gaulle-Bordeaux is possible (and faster), but it's a few hundred dollars cheaper to go National-JFK (or Atlanta or Boston)-De Gaulle-Bordeaux.
