"I swore to go through fire, dot water. I don't wadt to catch code."

"Oh by the way," said my mother on the phone last week, "your brother was just diagnosed with mono on Tuesday. Hope you haven't been feeling tired or anything."

"Nah," said I, "I've been fine."

And now I get to eat my words, whoopty do! Because this morning marked the first time I can ever remember skipping work (or in this case, morning classes) for the simple reason that I could not drag myself out of bed. Srsly. Alarm went off at eight, I staggered across the room to turn it off, fell more than sat in front of my computer, and checked email and friendslist through half-open eyes because that usually wakes me up enough to do the rest of my morning stuff. Not this morning. Turned off the computer, collapsed back into bed, slept fitfully until noon. Realized the cleaning ladies were coming through my room soon and that I had to meet a friend at quarter to one, so I stumbled around getting dressed and such. Once I actually got to the school building, three separate people--one of whom I barely know--commented that I looked either tired or ill. Bah, bah I say.

I did feel slightly better after I got some food and wandered around the city a bit, but I'm still tired. Ack. No other symptoms so far, so let's hope this is just a freak occurrence of some sort.

...do you have any idea how motherfucking pissed off I am going to be if this trip gets ruined by glandular fever?!
