More boring real-life updates.
It's amazing how productive you can be when you have a lot of homework to avoid! Since Friday I have: finally put money in my student account, done three loads of laundry, transferred my prescriptions to the Northampton CVS, re-dyed my hair, picked up some new decorations for my room, gained some semblance of a social life, gone and yelled at Herrell's for putting nuts in their non-dairy ice cream, and eaten out without any disastrous consequences. Since I am normally a lazy sack of shit, this is impressive. Also impressive is that the sum total of all the homework I've done this weekend is about 20 lines of Old Norse translation. Guess I'd better take my calculus test, get cracking on that computer science project, catch up on my French homework, etc.
My grandiose plans to rent a Zipcar and take it up to Québec to see Les Mis have been cruelly shot down--there are no open reservation slots on any weekend for the next month. Guess I will have to fall back on Plan B: beg a ride off an upperclassman with a car.
If I end up in danger of doing my homework later today, I might have to do something really desperate instead. Like clean my room. Or try to fix my computer. Or, I don't know, sprawl out on the front lawn and finally finish The Ionian Mission. My poor leisure reading is so cruelly neglected.
I bought a pretty tapestry to hang over the head of my bed, but there is still far too much white space on my walls. In lieu of buying crappy $20-a-pop art prints on ebay, I am considering just raiding some of the high-res images from praeraffaeliten.de, printing them out, and tacking them up on my walls.
