Because clearly made-up fanfiction first names are the more important thing.
Either Les Mis fandom subconsciously channels Balzac and Stendhal, or French literature is out to get me and ruin every name commonly given to Enjolras figments FOREVER.
...yes, French literature having a will of its own (and a malevolent one at that) is the most likely explanation for why I will never be able to look at a Lucien Enjolras or a Julien Enjolras with a straight face again.
I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and for a Marcelin to show up in a George Sand novel.
